Day of Celebration and Day of Joy

La célébration du 200^eAnniversairede fondation des Sœurs de la Charité de Saint-Louis, à Pont-Rouge, réunit les Sœurs de la Province Notre-Dame des Douleurs et les Personnes associées.
Elle débute à l’église paroissiale, par l’Eucharistie présidée
par Renaud Côté, c.j.m. aumônier.

The celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Sisters of Charity of
St. Louis, in Pont-Rouge, gathers the Sisters of Our Lady of Sorrows Province and Associates. It begins at the parochial church, with the Eucharist presided
by Renaud Côté, cj.m., chaplain.

Pour ouvrir la célébration, la croix de la Congrégation – symbole de l’Amour du Christ Rédempteur – passe au milieu de l’assemblée. Elle est suivie d’un écrit émouvant composé par Mère Saint-Louis : le texte des premières Constitutions datant de 1806.


For the opening of the celebration, the congregational Cross—symbol of the love of Christ Redeemer—moves through the center of the assembly. It is followed by a moving written work authored by Mother St. Louis: the text of the first Constitutions dated 1806.

et Denise Paquet, sr, s.c.s.l. présentent un rappel historique de l’arrivée à Vannes de Marie-Louise-Élisabeth de Lamoignon et de
la fondation de sa Congrégation.
Des gravures significatives sont apportées
et placées devant l’autel.

Following the welcome, Aurore Picard, s.c.s.l. and Denise Paquet, sr., s.c.s.l. present a historical reminder of the arrival in Vannes of Marie Louise Elizabeth de Lamoignon and of the foundation of her Congregation.Meaningful reproductions are brought up and placed before the altar.
