Le 29 juin 2003 a marqué un événement important dans les annales de notre communauté.
À  l'Eucharistie du dimanche précédent, une invitation avait été lancée aux gens du quartier de venir à la chapelle de l'Espérance célébrer avec les Religieuses  et Personnes associées, le Bicentenaire de fondation de la Congrégation des Soeurs de la Charité de Saint-Louis.
À  15 h 30, une belle assistance était présente pour exécuter avec entrain le refrain de fête :  «Jubilez, dansez de joie...» animé par Mme Létizia Mathiot, associée.

On June 29, 2003, an important event happened in the annals of our community. Prior to the Sunday Eucharist, an invitation had been extended to the people of the neighborhood to come to the l’Esperance chapel to celebrate with the Religious and Associates the Bicentenary of the Foundation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Louis.  At 15:30, a nice attendance  
began to  sing with much joy the festive refrain :  
“Exalt, dance joyfully…”  directed by Mrs. Letizia Mathiot, associate.

Un moment fort apprécié a été celui de la présentation des pays où oeuvrent les Soeurs de la Charité de Saint-Louis.  À tour de rôle, les Soeurs et Personnes associées allèrent  présenter le drapeau d'un pays en le nommant et proclamant : «Seigneur, nous te rendons grâce pour la mission apostolique des Soeurs qui y travaillent».  Les drapeaux sont ensuite déposés artistiquement sur l'autel.

The presentation of the countries where the Sisters of St. Louis live and work was greatly appreciated. One by one, Sisters and Associates displayed the country flag by calling them and proclaiming :  “Lord, we thank you for the apostolic work of the Sisters who minister in this country.”  The flags were then placed artistically on the altar.  

Le message de Soeur Geraldine Hagel, supérieure générale est lu à l'auditoire.  Il est suivi par la lecture de la Parole de Dieu en saint Paul ainsi que d'un extrait d'une conférence de Mère Saint-Louis sur l'Eucharistie.  Le Saint-Sacrement est exposé pour permettre à chacun, chacune de prolonger sa prière dans un moment d'adoration.  La prière d'intercession, qui englobe les besoins de l'Église, de la Congrégation, de la société, complète cette rencontre fraternelle.  

The message of Sr. Geraldine Hagel, general superior, was read.  It  was  followed by the Word of God in St. Paul and a brief excerpt from one of Mother St. Louis’ conference on the Eucharist.  The Blessed Sacrament was exposed to allow each one to prolong her prayer. Intercessions incorporating the needs of the Church, of the Congregation, and of the whole world ended this friendly gathering.
