Bicentenaire des S.C.S.L.,Lévis

C'est par ce refrain de fête que débuta, le 25 mai 2003, la célébration eucharistique à l'occasion du Bicentenaire de fondation de la Congrégation des Soeurs de la Charité de Saint-Louis qui a réuni Soeurs et Personnes associées à la chapelle de la Province Notre-Dame de l'Annonciation, Lévis.

This festive refrain started the Eucharistic Celebration on May 25, 2003, on the occasion of the Bicentenary of the Foundation of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Louis, which gathered Sisters and Associates in the Chapel of the Notre Dame de l’Annonciation, Levis.

Dans son mot de bienvenue, Soeur Jacqueline Paré, c.s.l. nous a rappelé que Célébrer 200 ans... c'est d'abord se souvenir de Mère Saint-Louis, cette femme extraordinaire à qui Dieu s'est révélé dans des moments intenses de prière et qui a cru en l'avenir. À notre tour, nous sommes invitées à créer cet avenir en poursuivant dans la foi et l'espérance l'oeuvre si bien commencée par nos devancières, en croyant que cette oeuvre n'est pas la nôtre, mais celle de Dieu. Célébrons! Rendons grâce à Dieu! Louons-le pour toutes ses merveilles!

In her introduction, Sr. Jacqueline Pare, c.s.l. reminded us that to celebrate 200 years… is first to remember Mother St. Louis, this extraordinary woman to whom God revealed himself during some intense moments of prayer, and who has believed in the future. In turn, we are invited to create this future in carrying out in faith and hope the work started by our pioneers, remembering that this is the work of God and not ours alone.
Let us celebrate! Let us thank God! Let us praise him for all his marvels!

À la fin de la célébration eucharistique, quatre nouveaux membres ont signé leur formule d'adhésion comme Personnes associées à la Congrégation et quatre-vingts autres membres, déjà associés, ont renouvelé leur formule d'engagement pour un an.

At the end of the Eucharist, four new members signed their membership as Associates of the Congregation, and eighty current members renewed their commitment for a year.

Après la célébration eucharistique, Soeurs et Personnes associées ont été invitées
à se rendre à la salle de réception de la Maison provinciale pour des agapes fraternelles
où tout se déroula dans la joie et l'amitié.

After the Eucharistic celebration, the Sisters and the Associates were invited
to the reception hall of the Provincial House to share a festive meal
in a joyful and friendly atmosphere.
