Des bâches, des chaises, des bancs, un autel dressé pour dire la messe, un système de son dans la cour des Soeurs de la Charité de Saint-Louis à Magnanbugu. Qu'est-ce qui se passe aujourd'hui? Les Soeurs soulignent le 200e de la fondation de leur Congrégation.
Canvas, chairs, benches, an altar set up for Mass, a microphone in the courtyard of the Sisters of Charity of St. Louis in Magnanbugu. What is going on? The Sisters are celebrating the 200^th Anniversary of the foundation of their Congregation.

À cette occasion, les soeurs et les chrétiens de la Rive droite du fleuve Niger sont réunis pour la célébration eucharistique présidée par M. le Curé Noël Samaké, de la paroisse Sainte-Monique. Le chant est assuré par la chorale de Magnanbugu sous l'habile direction de Thibault Sako en collaboration avec
Soeur Rosanne Lachance, c.s.l.

On this occasion, sisters and Christians on the Right Shore of the Niger River are gathered for the Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Noel Samake, pastor of St. Monique Parish. The singing is assumed by the Magnanbugu choir, under the skilled direction of Thibault Sako together with Sr. Rosanne Lachance, c.s.l.

Suite à la célébration, Mère Saint-Louis
(en la personne de Sr Aline Munkoro, c.s.l.) s'adresse à l'assemblée pour parler de sa vie,
de la fondation de sa Congrégation et de ses oeuvres. Sr Rolande Guay, c.s.l. dirige la rencontre et se rend attentive à donner
la parole à qui la demande. Plusieurs questions
bien intéressantes sont posées.

Following the celebration, Mother St. Louis (in the person of Sr. Aline Munkoro, c.s.l.)
speaks to the assembly about her life, the foundation of our Congregation, and its works.
Sr. Rolande Guay, c.s.l. conducts the meeting and is attentive to allow everyone
to speak, if desired. Many interesting questions are asked.

Les gens sont invités à suivre la Fondatrice pour la visite d'une exposition qui a surtout été l'oeuvre de
Sr Yamileth Gomez, des Soeurs Franciscaines missionnaires de Marie-Auxiliatrice, étudiante avec nous depuis deux ans.

People are invited to follow the Foundress to visit an exhibit, which has been mainly the work of Sr. Yamileth Gomez, Sisters Franciscan Missionaries of Marie-Auxiliatrice, a student among us for
the past two years.

La rencontre se termine par un repas fraternel comme le veut bien la coutume malienne. La paroisse y participe en offrant un «dablini» sirop de gingembre, frites, poulets. Mais le meilleur, nous l'affirmons sans aucune hésitation, c'est bien la solidarité qui a entouré cette fête et l'amitié qui a grandi.

The meeting ends with a meal in an atmosphere of friendship according to the Malian custom. The parishioners join in by offering a “dablini” ginger syrup, fries, chickens. But the best, we admit without hesitation, is certainly the solidarity which has surrounded this celebration and the friendship which has grown.
